Learn with us!
Offering a huge range of practical courses for children of all ages, the Roots to the Future Community Education Centre is truly the first of its kind! We cater to all children who are looking for an alternative learning experience. We facilitate a number of courses and workshops that will spark your child's interest, and get the neurons firing at full speed!

Our tutors are all DBS checked so you can feel secure in the knowledge that your children are receiving a one-of-a-kind education, in a safe and nurturing environment.

At the heart of Roots to the Future's ethos, is offering 'Practical Education for Every Generation'. We aim to provide men, women, boys, and girls, with an holistic learning experience, from which they can take away a wealth of new skills and confidence.

By booking with us, you agree to our terms and conditions which can be read here.
Spend the day with us!
We understand that all children have varied needs, regardless of their age or background. Some may thrive off the independence they gain from coming to Roots, however some may need a little extra reassurance and support from a familiar face. For this reason, we allow you to make the decision whether you would like to drop your children off for their session, or whether you would like to stay on site with them.
As we are a working farm, there are rules of which you will need to agree and adhere to if you chose to stay on site. These can be read in full detail within our waiver, of which will you receive upon booking.

Our usual days at Roots to the Future are broken down into morning and afternoon sessions featuring a 15 minute break within each:

Morning session - 9.30am till 12pm
Afternoon session - 1pm till 3.30pm

All children are welcome to attend morning and afternoon sessions with us. If they would like to spend the whole day with us, they can also stay for lunch between 12pm and 1pm.

If you and your child would like to stay with us for the whole day, please ensure that you select this option when booking the morning slot. A £5 charge will be incurred during this hour to cover staff and equipment costs. Please ensure that your children bring a packed lunch to enjoy alongside all of their new friends!

Unfortunately we cannot allow any children to stay for lunch without parents if they have not been booked on in advance, and in this scenario they will need to be collected at the end of their session as usual.
Waiver
Due to the nature of our sessions, a waiver must be completed for each child who attends any education session with us. Once signed, these will be valid for a total of 12 months.
When you book your first session with us, you will receive an email directing you to the waiver which you can then complete, sign and return at your earliest convenience. If you have not received an email containing the waiver, please contact us as soon as possible before the session is due to start.
Policies
Here at Roots to the Future, we have a comprehensive range of policies that our volunteers and tutors adhere to, to ensure every child is included and safe during their time with us. Please click here to go to our 'Policies' page, where you can download each one in PDF format.
